A note of importance
We all do it. Every. Single. One of us. We talk about things like we're the only one who can see the truth, like we're the only people in the whole world who understand the core of the topic at hand. What makes one persons opinion more valid than anothers? Why should anyone else care what you have to say?
Self importance and overstated opinion is a difficult habit to break, so I'm finding; being the center of the universe isn't something you willingly give up.
Ultimately I suspect that it doesn't matter what your opinion or feeling is. If everyone else feels the same way, it all works fine. It's the differences in opinion and feeling that causes the friction between people, and the source of so much anxiety. We're so busy caring what other people think of us, we forget to care for how we think of ourselves.
My solution is not to care at all, because no matter how much you try or how far you think you've come, you can't please everybody. So don't bother trying to please anybody and worry only about how you think of yourself.
Of course, all this is just opinion.
